Refund policy
This policy covers failed purchases, removed Last Words and unused campaign funds.
Version 2026-09-05-v2 · Updated 5 September 2026Failed or competing orders
Every order is for the exact price confirmed by the final purchase action. Saving a payment method does not reserve that price. A submission rejected or held for review before payment is not charged.
If verified payment cannot deliver the purchased placement, we refund the undelivered payment. If the provider charges twice for one purchase, we refund the extra payment. We check the payment and delivery records before returning money.
Completed placements
A completed purchase is not refundable merely because another buyer replaces the Last Word quickly or because the message receives less attention than expected. No minimum reign or audience is promised.
Refunds go to the original payer through the original payment method where supported. USDC refunds require a separately verified return transfer. A refund marked pending has not yet been confirmed as returned.
Removed Last Words
If we remove a Last Word because of our mistake, a changed content boundary or an exceptional business decision, we refund every captured publication and Boost placement payment for that Last Word to its original payer. This includes earlier completed placements. Eligible unused campaign funding is handled separately.
For a deliberate breach of the rules in force when the purchase was made, we assess refunds individually and record the decision and reason. A person who boosted someone else's Last Word is not automatically responsible for the publisher's breach. Applicable consumer and payment-provider rights still apply.
Temporary hiding while we investigate does not itself settle a refund. We cover any provider fees that are not returned when we promise a refund; they are not deducted from your refund.
Campaign adjustments
Unused campaign funding is returned only after eligible earned and pending rewards are protected. A valid reward is not cancelled merely because the Last Word was removed or its funding was disputed. Refunds or reversals of the underlying customer sale can still reverse the matching reward under the campaign terms.
An open payment dispute is not a completed refund. We reconcile refunds and dispute outcomes so the same payment is not returned twice. A funding shortfall stops new reward commitments without erasing legitimate earnings. LastWord covers shortfalls caused by its own discretionary removal.
